About John Kaufman

John Kaufman is a seasoned martial artist and father with a passion for empowering others through his expertise and experience. His journey in the world of combat sports began at the tender age of 5 when he first stepped onto the mat to learn the art of Taekwondo. As he grew older, his dedication and perseverance led him to participate in numerous local competitions, where he honed his skills and developed a competitive spirit.

In 2018, John's thirst led him to explore the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Initially, he dabbled in the art with friends, engaging in friendly rolls and gaining valuable insights. Recognizing the potential of this grappling discipline, John took a significant step forward in 2021 by formally commencing his training at a Rilion Gracie affiliate school. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, he absorbed the intricacies of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and became proficient in the art's techniques and principles.

Always eager to expand his repertoire, John embarked on a deep dive into No-Gi Jiu Jitsu in 2022. This branch of the sport provided him with new challenges and opportunities to enhance his grappling prowess without the use of the traditional kimono. John embraced this fresh perspective and dedicated himself to mastering the nuanced strategies of No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, adding another layer to his martial arts skill set.

He is passionate about empowering students of all ages through martial arts, bringing both competitive experience and a father's perspective to his teaching.
